( 02 ) Why this matters

A launch lands once. The video runs for 18 months — or it doesn't.

B2B launches are a single-day event with an 18-month tail. The hero film runs at the announcement, then lives on the homepage, in the Q4 sales deck, in every conference booth loop, in the demo flow, and in the paid-social retargeting layer. A film engineered for the press cycle but not the long tail underperforms by 60%+ at month 6 — the angle that played as urgent in week one feels stale by quarter two.

We design launch films for both windows. Pre-production starts with a positioning conversation: what's the lasting argument, not just the news of the week. From there we build a shot list that yields a hero cut for week one (urgent, wider scope, news angle) and a sustaining cut for the 18-month tail (specific, customer-rooted, evergreen). Both share footage and color grade — different cuts of the same shoot — so the brand carries one visual language through the launch arc.

Production is cinema-class: ARRI Amira or Sony FX9 on Easyrig and DJI RS3 Pro gimbals, full HMI/LED grip package (Aputure 600d Pro arrays for soft key, 1200d Pro Mini bounces for hard punch, MC RGB tubes for accent), broadcast-grade sound, and a senior DP whose IMDb credits include national broadcast spots. NYC market production day rates per Assignment Desk's 2026 data run from $1,525 median to $2,640 high for the DP role alone — we staff at the high end because you only get one launch morning.

Client note

Our prior agency delivered a 4-minute video that nobody finished watching. Signal delivered a 90-second hero plus a sustaining cut and seven channel variants. Six months later the sustaining cut is still our best-converting paid asset.

New York & the surrounding boroughs.

Signal Content Partners produces product launch films for B2B companies headquartered in New York and going to market globally. We shoot most often at flagship NYC offices (Hudson Yards, Flatiron, SoHo) and our partner studios in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Cinema-rigged productions are routinely permitted across Manhattan and the boroughs by our production team. For multi-city launches, we travel with the same kit and crew — Boston, San Francisco, London, and Berlin shoots delivered against the same look and finishing standard.

( 07 ) FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

Don't see your question? Email the studio.

How early should we engage you before launch day?

10–12 weeks for the GA tier, 14+ weeks for Enterprise. We can compress to 6–8 weeks if you have a fixed date and a clear narrative — we've shipped 9-week GA launches when the date couldn't move. The compression cost is paid in pre-production tightness; the production day stays the same.

Do you write the script?

Yes, in collaboration. Our creative director and writer build a treatment and script with your marketing and PMM lead. We do not work from a finished script handed to us — that workflow produces films that don't survive contact with shoot day. Co-authorship is non-negotiable.

What about talent — staff or actors?

Either, and we often mix. Most launch films feature your founders or product leadership in interview, plus paid SAG-AFTRA talent for the more dramatized scenes. Talent fees are a separate line item — typically $1,500–$5,000 per principal per day in NYC market.

Can the film also work for the conference floor?

Yes — every hero gets a 60-second muted-friendly conference loop in the channel-cut suite. We grade to DCI-P3 (or Rec.709 for digital) and master to ProRes 422 HQ, which projects cleanly on conference rigs. For Salesforce, AWS re:Invent, or HubSpot INBOUND-scale events, we can pre-test the master on the venue's projection spec.

How does this fit with our PR rollout?

We brief and embed the launch creative team alongside your PR partner (Edelman, Burson, in-house) so the embargo plan and the asset timeline run together. Wire-photo stills and a B-roll reel are included so press can repurpose visuals on day one. We routinely ship a PR-ready package 7 days before the public film goes live.

What if the launch slips?

It happens. Our standard MSA includes a 30-day delivery hold at no charge if the launch is delayed. If the delay extends beyond 30 days, we re-quote at the new timeline (typically a small reduction since pre-pro is already complete) and re-book crew.
