The founder portrait is rarely just a profile photo. It becomes a brand asset that moves through press, fundraising, recruiting, events, and sales.

Plan the crops before the session

A tight LinkedIn crop, a horizontal press image, a vertical speaker bio, and an environmental web hero all need different framing.

Capture context without overdoing it

  • Neutral portrait setup.
  • Office or product context.
  • Leadership group frame.
  • Working candid.
  • Press-safe horizontal image.

Build a small portrait library

One perfect headshot is useful. A small library is better because it lets the team avoid reusing the same founder image across every channel.
